Jennifer Dearing is a chartered town planner and trained coach who has a wide range of experience in planning, development and regeneration.
She has worked as chief planner and corporate director for four local authorities. She has a thorough knowledge of how local authorities work; their financial imperatives; and the political dimensions of decision making.
Jennifer has led – and implemented – a significant number of service reviews in planning, transport and asset management. She is an experienced change manager and also has considerable experience as an interim manager.
Since 2011 she has worked as a consultant in planning and also in executive recruitment.
With Fortismere Associates, Jennifer has helped to develop advice and guidance on the Duty to Cooperate for the Planning Advisory Service and has also worked with several local authorities through the Planning Advisory Service
direct support programme.
