Karen Moore is a planner and manager with over 20 years’ experience gained in both the public and private sectors.
Karen has worked with a number of planning, management and training organisations, including Alexander Consultants, Learning 2XL and POS Enterprises Ltd. She worked with Addison & Associates from 2003 until 2011 as a principal consultant and associate.
Karen has significant public sector experience, spanning both district and unitary councils. Working with professionals and local communities, she has contributed to planning policy and promoted sustainable development.
Since 2000 Karen has undertaken many projects and programmes to support local authority planning and related services – as trainer, mentor, critical friend and manager.
Her work with Fortismere Associates has included providing programmes on behalf of the Planning Advisory Service to support officers and elected members, together with continuing advice on improving plan making practice.
She has also supported the development of the Epping Forest District Council Local Plan and has acted as critical friend for Cheshire East Council. She also runs a peer POS Local Plans Learning Group.
