Alison Blom-Cooper is a chartered town planner and member of the RTPI. She has over 30 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors.

From 2002 until 2011 Alison worked for Addison & Associates, the last five as director of the company which had an annual turnover of £700,000. In 2011
Alison set up Fortismere Associates to continue to offer planning, design and management support for the public sector and local communities.

Alison has extensive experience in development management and policy making. She has worked across all aspects of planning: local government; private sector; consultant planning inspector; and Investigator for the Local Government Ombudsman.

Since 2008, on behalf of the Planning Advisory Service, she has project managed and delivered a series of programmes to support local authority elected members and officers. These have covered: development management; resource reviews; neighbourhood planning; plan making; and the Duty to Cooperate.

Most recently, Alison has worked as project manager for the London Borough of Haringey’s development management improvement plan, and also for the development of the Epping Forest District Council Local Plan.

Alison is an RTPI nominated Council member of the Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust.
